Snippets from East Africa ❤️

We’re thrilled to finally share behind-the-scenes moments from our recent trip to East Africa, where we collaborated on a very special range of customised, organic batik fabrics. As part of our Pro-Bono / Corporate Social Initiative, we partnered with @snl_foundation_ to raise awareness around Breast Cancer through textile and clothing design.

Symbolism in Every Thread:

Each fabric features imprints inspired by the scars left by single or double mastectomies — a visual representation of both trauma and triumph. These motifs were intentionally integrated into our batik designs, transformed into powerful patterns that honour the journey, resilience, and beauty of breast cancer survivors.

What We Did:

We donated our time and design expertise to create a unique collection of hand-made fabrics, each symbolising hope, strength, and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. The project was brought to life through two impactful ranges:

1) Limited Edition Auction Range:

12 bespoke outfits — each a one-of-a-kind ensemble — were designed and auctioned off to raise funds for breast cancer awareness. This Auction took place on Mandela Day in the 18th of July 2025 at the gorgeous @sanctuarymandela

100% of proceeds will go directly to support breast cancer and early detection initiatives via @snl_foundation_ . We’re honoured to have played a meaningful role in this cause. We will be sharing the visuals of the Auction range over the next few days. These items were one of each, that won’t be repeated again with the fabric combinations used for this particular project.

2) Retail Collection:

Another 12-outfit collection is available for purchase. A portion of every sale will be donated to support breast cancer-related efforts. Details on how you can shop from this exclusive premium range will be shared soon

This initiative represents what we truly stand for — purposeful design, community impact, and the power of collaboration.
